Prepare for your baby in advance and set up your place.  You should get all necessary things ready for kittens, like food, litter and litter box, toys. First, of all, you should show him/her litter box and food/water. Then just let him explore your place. Depending on the kitten’s personality you can either play and enjoy each other or, for a more shy baby leave it alone and give some time, eventually, it will come out. Be sure to give access to the litter box and food/water.
